Stable isotope tracers for magnetic resonance imaging and spectroscopy

Eurisotop offers a wide array of compounds labeled with 13C, 15N, 17O, and deuterium for magnetic resonance spectroscopy experiments. These tracers are designed to measure the conversion from one metabolite to a different metabolite by creating unique positional isotopomers that can be differentiated using magnetic resonance spectroscopy.

Common applications

Researchers use these stable isotope tracers, in combination with NMR or mass spectrometry, to study metabolic flux — the rate at which a metabolite is converted along a biochemical pathway. Typical examples include D-glucose (13C6) and L-glutamine (13C5), used to trace central carbon metabolism and the tricarboxylic acid (TCA) cycle in cultured cells.
