How This Grade Compares
This Reagent Grade urea-13C is manufactured under the same conditions as our USP Grade, but is not tested or released against the formal USP monograph. In practice, this means the same underlying process and material quality, without the additional documentation, certified reference testing, and regulatory overhead required for pharmaceutical use.
Eurisotop offers different grades of products for metabolic and diagnostic research — including research grade, microbiological and pyrogen tested (MPT), and cGMP or pharmacopeia-aligned grades — so customers can select the level of control that matches their project. The Reagent Grade is the chemical-grade equivalent of our USP Grade: it is not intended for pharmaceutical or diagnostic kit manufacturing, but offers the same high isotopic and chemical quality for research use, typically at a lower cost and with faster turnaround than a fully pharmacopeia-certified batch.
